NCPERS Election Night Survey on Retirement Security

NCPERS commissioned a nationwide survey of 1,200 voters on election day. We developed five questions that were asked of the respondents to the survey. Questions we asked included whether respondents felt traditional defined benefit plans are a more secure retirement vehicle than 401(k)-style plans and whether respondents have a very favorable, somewhat favorable, somewhat unfavorable, or very unfavorable impression of public servants such as police officers, firefighters, teachers and nurses?

The questions developed by NCPERS were included in a larger survey of 33 questions. NCPERS' questions are numbers 15-19.
