NCPERS and Others Provide Comment on IRS Questionnaire

NCPERS, along with 13 other national organizations representing state and local officials, public employee unions, and the nation's public employees and retirees, submitted comments to the IRS regarding its Public Plan Questionnaire. The survey has been sent to a limited number of public pension plans already, but it is expected that later this year the IRS will send it to a much larger sampling of plans, or possibly all public plans.

The signatories to the letter are concerned that IRS has overstepped its scope and is seeking to move forward on the survey without appropriate consultation with the public pension plan community. To view the comments to IRS, please click here.
