Shotgun Wedding for Health Care Reform?

On Christmas Eve the United States Senate passed its version of health care reform legislation. The House of Representatives passed their version in November 2009. The two versions differ widely on some major issues. However, Democratic leaders in Congress pledged to overcome their differences and plan to send a bill to President Obama before the State of the Union. House and Senate negotiators are expected to hold daily meetings and conference calls until a final deal is reached.
